We always forget Esca's all the way over here in the western bowels of Hell's Kitchen... But the refinement of all-things-fish, daily changing menu, and ace table service and presentation will always make a visit worth it.
Chef Dave Pasternack also happens to be somwhat of a seafood genius. And paring that with a not-too-stuffy white linen service, and a surprisingly cozy dining room (built around a rustic farmtable filled with cheese, bread, antipasto dishes, etc.), you've basically got the best starred restaurant in the area.
