What was once just a bar--serving family meals once a week--has now become a full fledged dining destinintion. And all in the old confines what what feels like a long forgotten East Village bar--no pretension, no over-decor, just a bar.

The food also just happens to be spectatular, and the staff so friendly you kind of can't believe this place is actually in New York City. Some say the Fried Chicken is best in the world, but we like everything. Come here and you'll never forget it, you'll always crave it.

Anything with beans, Fried Chicken (seriously), cornbread, boston brown bread, cheap beer by the can, duck gumbo.
