FoodTyrant is the product of a few hungry minds with discerning taste who were tired of how kinda-useless most restaurant locating sites have become.
There's nothing more frustrating than being in a part of town and not knowing where to eat. There's also nothing more frustrating than being swamped with nothing but mind-numbing gossip on blogs--instead of finding places you actually want to eat at, or wish you could remember.
So, we've built this site to share a constantly updated list of old, new and in-between places worth visiting in each neighborhood (Brooklyn coming soon). You'll always have an easy-to-find, and up-to-date list of neighborhood gems, restaurants every blog's been (deservedly) creaming over, and the place the Times gave an out-of-nowhere two stars.
Think of us as your bossy assistant--but the one that takes care of you... and always knows what and where you should be eating.
